  13. Although this won't help you now, you should know that this is such a common
  14. problem that the System 7.0 File Manager should allow you to, "create a FileId
  15. that allows an application to refer to files by a 'permanent address'.
  16. FileId's don't span volumes, you'll still need that info, but the the fileId is
  17. unique for the life of the volume and will allow an application to locate a
  18. file even if its been renamed or moved.
  19.     You may want to take this into account when designing your document format.
